I just saw a photo of an old glass bugal. Krazy right well Im thinking why cant I make a bell of glass and was then wondering what it would sound like. It would probobly be so bright that it wouldt sound like a bone. then I was thinking what other materials could be used. has anyone ever seen a bone with a wood bell, not a sacbut but an actual bone? I have heard of gold silver brass copper and bronz. Maby ill make the wood one I have a lathe. Lets see if I can find a good hard piece of oak or maple to use.

a wood bell wouldn't work very well since it can't carry viberations like metal can, which is a big part of the tone..

First of all a glass instrument is a paperweight not a horn.
Second, bells can be made of most soft metals like gold, brass, bronze, copper, ect. because they vibrate correctly to make music not just noise.
