Just because your band director told you do to it, that doesn't make you qualified to start making these recommendations for other people. These recommendations need to be made by a qualified teacher IN PERSON. Four of my coworkers and I had a small private group lesson with Doug Elliott, widely regarded as an expert on embouchures, angles, etc. He worked with each of us individually, and had different things to say to each of us. It was very eye opening. You have to be very careful what advice you give online. You could end up doing someone more harm than good. It's commendable that you've learned some concepts that helped you and want to help others out. But it's important to understand your limitations, and the limitations of cyberspace. Give or take a couple of years, I suspect I've been playing longer than you have been alive. And I still don't feel comfortable dealing with these issues, because I'm constantly learning new things, and not only that, but as we grow and age, our facial structure changes, the demands of the music we play changes and we have to adapt.
All I'm saying is, be careful what you say, and also, do some soul searching and ask yourself if you are really qualified before you make a post. Just my humble opinion, brother.
