I'm thinking of buying a new trombone case that has the luxury of shoulder staps and more room to put papers and possibly a music stand and/or horn stand. So I started to look around and the two that I've come up with are Pro Tec and Gator's GL lightweight cases. About a year ago my brother (who is a french horn player) received a pro tec case, but then he went away to college and had to use it daily and to put it to the test of everyday use. But I thought that cases and such were suppost to be tough and durable, but when we went to see him, he picked up his case and something went wrong on it, which he has to fix and said that it was a piece of junk because it was made basically out of velcro.
Now i'm wondering since his pro tec case hasn't held up to the way he wanted and needed, if anyone has had any experiences with the trombone versions of these cases, or if you've had a different brand of case that has straps on it that has full-filled your expectations of what a trombone case should actually be.
