just asking if you think there should be a difference in a marching mouthpeice and a concert mouthpeice, this was my first year marching and so i didnt really feel anything but i was just wandering if there should be a difference in mouthpeices.

i personlaly don't think there sould be it depends on the type of sound you want to have for marching seson.

the only mouthpiece that I can think of that is designed for marching band would be the loud mouthpieces, those are just designed for loudness though. But not that I know of, everyone I know of just uses their concert mouthpieces, but i could be wrong.

Whatever mouthpiece you use for regular playing should be just fine for marching band. But if you want some extra volume and don't mind shelling out over $100, those LOUD mouthpieces might be interesting.

The only other thing I can suggest is maybe a lexan mpc for marching in cold weather. Or, if you're looking to shell out some real dough, have Doug Elliott make you a mpc with just a lexan rim. I do a lot of outdoor playing and it really helps me. If you're marching in warm weather, I wouldn't worry about it.
