I just got a new Yamaha tenor trombone, and the slide oil and cream that I used on my Jupiter just don't work very well for the Yamaha's slide. I was wondering if anyone knows what a better oil/cream would be?

I didn't mean to do two, my computer was very slow and spazzed out.

slide-o-mix!!!

its the best. it either comes in two bottles with red caps or an "all in one" bottle with a black cap. i honestly find they both work the same, and the directions are right on the bottle. the all in one is more convenient i suppose. you also may want to buy a small spray bottle. after you oil up your slide, you should spritz just a bit of water on in.

have fun with the new horn!

Definately slide-o-mix is the way to go
Its a very thin lubricant that isn't silicone based so it won't build up on your slide making it eventually feel heavy and sluggish. Slide-o-mix is my choice and several other peoples choice from the Queensland Conservatorium of music in Australia. We love it.
