I love his music, and can't get enough of it. Some of his melodies, along with an orchestral accompaniment can just melt me. He has written a lot of great bass trombone literature, and I'm playing some of it. Currently working on his "Concerto for Bass Trombone/Tuba and Orchestra" (hopefully for that military audition, Steve) and his "Rhapsody for Bass Trombone and Orchestra." Also working on his "Pastorale" duet with a buddy. I'm just wondering if anyone shares my obsession, or if I'm just weird...? Anyone who likes his stuff, or is interested in it should at least check out his "Ewazen Bass Hits" cd. It's all bass trombone, which makes it even better! (lol I'm biased)

I'm a big fan myself. I have been working on the Pastorale as well, both parts so I can play it with just about anyone. His Sonata for tenor trombone is amazing.
I like the piece he did commisioned by the US Military Academy called Legacy.
Of course, the Colchester Fantasy is gorgeous. I got to hear the American Brass Quintet play it last year. It was breathtaking. Oh, I've also got the trombone quartet Myths and Legends, but it's not always easy to get a quartet together to try it out. But man, it's really cool to play.
