I've been looking around for a heavy duty compact music stand. I want one that has a desk on it thats solid, preferably metal, something that if knocked over, hit or anything won't do damage to, can fold (or not, depends if the folding ones are as close to the metal ones), but at the same time hold up like a metal one under a book like the arban's. Has anyone have any experience with portable music stands that aren't wire?

I've looked under K&M, they do have similar things to what I want, but I haven't read any review on them since I can't find any.

This stand is pricey, I'll admit. But for portability and sturdiness, you really can't beat it. It's one of the best stands I've owned. (and yes, it will hold the Arban as if it were nothing)

It's not quite as sturdy as the Wenger, but folds up considerably smaller.
