Hey everyone, i am trying to growl. and finding it very difficult, im doing the flutter tongue thing but it sounds extremely heavy like a michine gun, i cant get that good growl sound, humming is almost there but not quite.. my high school band is playing the phat pack by gordon goodwin.. so that might give you an idea.. any advice?

I flutter tongue for a growl effect. Growling with the throat I find rather uncomfortable.
