The trombone is fine except the trigger is backwards. When its pushed, it plays like it`s not pushed and when it`s not pushed, it plays like it`s pushed. It just came back from a repair shop far away and I need a suggestion.

If it is a string linkage (which would make the most sense) they put the string on the wrong way. You can fix it yourself, or have your local music shop do it. If there is something else wrong, the might have put the rotor in at the wrong angle.

It is possible that the valve got reversed under the stop arm. Usually the stop arm only goes on one way, but there are some horns that it can be done incorrectly.
By removing the large cap, you should be able to see some lines on the end of the valve that should line up with another line or notch on the back bearing. You should be able to tell if it is reversed.
The stop arm can be removed and replaced by removing the screw that holds it on and hopefully it will easily slide off of the valve. DO NOT FORCE IT! There will be consequences.
If you are unable to tie a valve I suggest a repairman look at the horn. It is well worth the couple of bucks it will cost.
I can fax you a sheet on tying a valve if you have access to a fax.
