Hi! I am currently a sophomore in high school and my main instrument is trombone. I've been playing it for about five years, and my band director asked me if I would play tuba this year for the marching band, since we have enough trombones but no other tubas. I said yes, and I am not really having too much trouble playing the instrument, but I was wondering if getting a new tuba mouthpiece would help me.

So here's the real question.

Would getting a better tuba mouthpiece help me with the transition from bass trombone to tuba, and if so, what mouthpiece would you recommend?
