Playing with dentures

I lost my 4 upper front teeth and was fitted with a "flipper" prosthetic.
I went from a very very beautiful sounding professional trombone player to not being able to play.
After some mechanical adjustments to the "flipper" playing was easier and each day I do notice improvement.
I have three weeks to re-learn to play before I have a 5 month demanding contract on a cruise ship.
I have no other livelihood right now and little savings--some.
I have viewed a couple of You Tubes and some other info and I believe it is possible to play well with false teeth.
I will be practicing the next 21 days and will report for work regardless of anything--"suit up and show up."
Any comments are welcome.

I met a trombonist with ray Charles's band bout 30 years ago. His dentures kept falling out while he was playing. He had to stop and put them back in. His playing was not worse with the dentures, but the stopping part was.
