Weel if you want a silver horn for the look and dont really care about the horn(if it is for marching this is what id look for) Go to Ebay and get one of theos silver horns for $100.00 there cheep and they play ok, and you get a warenty.

I heard those cheap horns on Ebay are most likely defective. Like buying an instrument from WalMart.
Not very wise...
I`d be careful about where you`re buying your horn from online, especially from Ebay. Here`s a useful site to check out about that:

Yes they are. But If you want a "field bone" that you dont need to care about and if for some reason it gets its a$$ kicked no worries right. I baught one for a pep band gig a couple years ago. The slide worked and i could play peddal to high bflat it wouldnt speek above that. Tone was ok not great by any meens but when your marching tone is not quite as important as volume. ( I can t believe i said that) at least in a high school level band.
