Hey just do what I do...Get yourself a recording of your favoirite band...Mine is Five Iron Frenzy. Get some tab on the song you want the music on. The tab will be in the key of the song. So the first chord is usually your starting note if it`s a horn into...use a pitch pipe and a piano and you`ll be unstoppable. E-mail me if you want to know about some of the songs I`ve transcribed.

Anyone who wants to play any type of popular music should learn to play by ear. Most popular and dance music (including ska) is simple to pick up by ear or transcribe and it gets easier and easier the more you do it. You`ll drive yourself crazy trying to find sheet music.

well, ska music is meant to be played without a stand in front of you, so tabs are just for learning the notes, no need to try and figure out the rhythms, just have a copy of the song you`re trying to learn, and start playin` away

Does ANYONE know the notes for dandelions from five iron frenzy!? or know a website that has them? because... I NEED THEM LIKE NOW!! Me and a coupel of my friends are getting a ska band together for this years talent show and we need to practice.. NOW!!! I can`t find them anywhere...>.>

just play along to the CD. Once you find the first note, the rest are easy. Sit down at a piano if you can, it makes it easier. Much easier than asking around if anyone has it.
