I`m considering getting a soprano trombone, what are good brands and all that stuff
(i play trumpet and trombone too so it shouldn`t be a hard switch)

well, I`m thinking about buying a soprano, just for the heck of it. so far, in my searching, the only brands available out there seem to be (in order of price) Jupiter, Miraphone and Thein.
the Jup is about $300, Miraphone $900, and Thein about $2000.
supposedly, bach and conn used to make them back in the day.... I`ve been watching Ebay, but nothing`s popped up.
I`m thinking about going for the miraphone. I could let you know how it goes.

well I play trumpet and trombone and I bought a jupiter soprano two days ago just for fun. The tone is more like a trumpet But you must be very precise with the positions, much more than a normal tenor trombone... harder to play than the tenor but it`s really great fun. If you know where to get some music for soprano trombone please let me know
Greetz,
Eric
