Way to go, Maria! How long have you been playing? It`s great to hear that more and more women are playing this great instrument.

Its the glory of the trombone which keeps it high on the lists.
Its also that we (girls) like to know that we r appreciated.
What about tuba playing girls???

I think that any woman who plays brass is just beautiful as the sound of a brass instrument (especially trombones) is so beautiful to hear. Seeing a woman make these lovely sounds is an incredible experience for me. It`s like watching an angel play. I`m glad to hear that there are so many of you around. Makes the world a better place!

Im a chick and, personally, i love my trombone, im a junior in high school, im first chair, and ive been playin since 5th grade, that would make this my 6th year on this wonderful instrument...oh, and about the comment a while back about girls bein gushy with solos, well...lets just say that ive always been in competition with the male trombonists at my school and i can definitely "belt it out", and there is no shame in that...

Great attitude, Courtney! As far as I`m concerned, belting it out is the only way to go as with a lot of things in life. Always give it your best.

My younger bro plays the clarinet, and the bass clarinet, and i was just bursting with pride to be able to say he was an honorary member of the basses...because, you know, at my skool the basses like to keep it krunk...lol

Ok...i have a confession, i was thinkin about my first message thingy, and i said i was first chair, and i am, but theres only 2 trombones in my band and the other is an eighth grader...i would defend my ability, but i dont feel that i need to...wow, that sounded really arrogant...just for the record, i didnt mean for it to...and if you`re thinkin "God, how small is your band?" heres my reply...i go to a 1a skool in Mississippi...enough said...
