hey im a trombone at a small school there are four trombones and we are all good three of us made all region we dont have any girls but i have seen them in other bands and hey are hot, i am in 8th grade i am 5` 8. blonde hair . i like playing the T-bone our school just got brand new trigger trombones they are bach omegas and very nice

I`m also a girl t-boner, and i love it. it bugs the heck out of me when people complain about band and don`t care. if they hate it so much, why are they there? (our trip to disney might have something to do with that, lol) anyways, i`m a freshman, and my best friend-also a girl- is the other freshman. then there are two sophmores-1 guy, 1 girl- and a guy senior, bubba. somehow, i got 1st chair, i was so excited i`m a "band geek", and i don`t care what other people say about it

in our school out of concert band and wind ensamble, there is 2 guys, one being me, and 5 other girls
so its pretty sweet and all of them but 1 is pretty good i would say

totally trombonechicas rock...im a girl and i think it show that you have confidense..plus we usually kick the guys butts...im a freshman but in our highschools top band and the guys are all below us...theres three girls it rocks...it used to much more sexist but all three off us are awsome musicaly talented trombonedivas.

I play trombone. There`s like five or six girls in our trombone section. Next year we`re getting ten new trombones(i don`t know how many boys/girls there are..) at the loss of three. So we`ll have like twenty-five trombones. I can`t wait.

Holy COW where are you going to school? That is just incredible. (It might be time to split the band) That is just Awasome (thinks for a second......this might meen more competition for me in the futuer) WAIT tell them all to quit.......just kidding.

Just so you all know, you should all begin bowing. Why you ask, because I, Azereth, male but the most sexy, am the Trombone God!! Yes you all say that you are first chair, but you all fail because you are all in a section by yourselves. I am in fact the section leader of a large group of trombones in a HIGH SCHOOL band! The band I play for is the winner for all time the Bluffton Traveling Trophy. We have won it so many times that all 36 other bands quit! This occurance was indeed the downfall of the Bluffton Street Fair! I have never been beaten in a challenge. My section of trombones has 7 people in it. 6 are male, but the last, the 7th, is a fat cow who cannot even play! The startling thing about this fact is that there is no change from when we are all playing to when only I am playing, for I am the trombone GOD!! My bubby is the Trumpet GOD! But no one cares about the trumpets. What I am trying to say here is FEAR THE BLACKFORD HIGH SCHOOL BAND AND THEIR TROMBONE GOD!!

That has got to be the funniest thing I have ever read. I remember high school bands they were lots of fun. First chair of seven me too. The funniest thing is that you said “! The startling thing about this fact is that there is no change from when we are all playing to when only I am playing.” This to me means that you play to loud that you have no sense of balance or musical interpretation.

So um who do you study with? I have studied with “PHD holders” first chars of some of the greatest symphonies in the world and some of the Jazz greats. Now admittedly, I don’t hold a candle to them but it has been years since I played in a high school band. I guess you might be the trombone god but I’m going to have to call my friend Bill W and ask him if he knows you, or your Bluffton Traveling trophy, or the Blackford high school band. I bet not.

One more thing Im just curious how much money did you make this last month from your bone skills? I taught 15 lessons played the Messiah with the Northwest Symphony (to many times ) played a couple community gigs and volunteered to work with a local high schools jazz band. For a total of about 600 bucks (it is a good thing I have a day job). Oh and don’t forget the 2 gigs I subbed in for a college.

Jesus Christ people, why do we have to keep proving how good we are? I`ve done this, I played 1st/principle for that.... WHO CARES????? This isn`t a forum for a p*ssing contest, and it gets really old when every other post starts with "I`m ____ old, I play 1st for ______ blah blah blah blah...." GET OVER IT. None of us are the best, there is no best. Remember. There is ALWAYS someone out there better than you. And me. That is why we practice so hard, and work so hard for what we love. Seriously people, get over yourselves.

Comon now... We are all the same here, just a bunch of hoodlum trombone players. We do it cause we love it, and we are all in the same boat. I would imagine that this forum was set up so we could meet each other, and ask questions to our fellow brethren. NOT to show off ourselves and talk crap to each other.
