Does anyone have any tips on increasing range on trombone. I can play lower than i have ever needed to in our bands music, and i can play as high, but not much higher.

He is indeed correct. Flexibility will give you that embochure support that you need to maintain good tone in the upper registers. Also staying relaxed is the key, many kids that i have run into slam their horn into their face and try to squeak whatever note they are after DONT DO THAT. stay relaxed blow relaxed and itll come to you.
another thing, DO LONG TONES!!!! long tones with tuner is the mont beneficial thing we can do. so do em, and do them in ALL octaves low and high. it helps.
