Instead of trying to find a mouthpiece that makes it "easier" to play high find a mouthpiece that is COMFORTABLE. A lot of young players think that if they are using a big honking mouthpiece they will be able to play low or if they are playing on a bach 12 they are going to be able to play double Fs above the staff all day long. Its just not true. You have to find something feels nice to YOU and accomodates the way you blow, when you find somethign like that you will be able to play higher with no problem because your comfortable.

Also remember another thing, the trombone is still a brass instrument that requires just about the same muscles as tuba, so blow as freely into the trombone as you do the tuba and the notes will come singing out of your axe like you will never believe.

the high notes arent about tension, they are about air.

I have a player in one of the bands that im in that says(dripping with scarcasim) More preshure less air. In fact that is the best thing you can do if..............you want to always suck, have horrible tone and no range. so Support comes from guess where hour diaphram(not the birth control) and not the arms. situps and running will help you to build range too.

Good building oh also the neighbors wife dont for get her.

with my 12 c i cap out at a double high f consistently and i can hit double high b flats in solos and stuff when im not thinkinga bout it. but if i use my 6 and 1/2 i drop down to high d...
practice with both though, because for me anyways i cant get below pedal b on the 12c.
