I have some music I need to learn in the higher range (high F# up to high Bb) and I`m not quite sure how to go about extending my range that high. I have been relatively successful hitting up to G alternating between high 2nd and 4th positions. But I can almost never get to Ab or above. Any suggestions on how I might go about this?

when you play higher, take a moment and as your playing think about your neck, does it feel tight? or like there is a lot of preshure in your neck? Alot of players will cheet, and use there neck to add preshure to add notes to there range. Just check that. also to hit the higher notes think about smiling just A LITTLE. this will help tighten your ombeshure. more air less preshure.
