i would like to be able to tounge as fast a trumpet player (or any other player who can tounge really fast). I am o.k. at playing sixteenth notes but not for extended periods of time. thanks

get yourself an Arban`s and start doing the single tongue and double tongue exercises. 20-30 minutes a day of all this and you will see improvements within a month. just remember it is not easy being a brass player. lots of practice before you make an improvement.

Yea get arbans.
Also realy focus on toungue speed for tounging any note. Fast toung even when toungong a 16 count hold. This will translate in to a fast toung for all notes. dont let the air stop when tounging fast some people do and well they sound like crap!
