I just bought a Maestro trombone (Bb/F) trigger closed wrap. i really hope it`s good because I want to be better and better in my band. I love to play the trombone, and it comes in tomorrow! I want it to be good!

I believe the Maestro brand is made in China, among other horns. These horns tend to be of unplayable quality. When purchasing a trombone, get one of the well known, and respected brands.

Yup, that`s what I heard. A friend of mine got one a few years back, she needed a horn right away, and they are CHEAP. Unfortunately, in order to play it, she had to give it to the repair guy so he could shave down and re-straighten the slide and re-arrange the trigger. Before that, it really was unplayable. Now, it`s just really a pain, but I guess slightly playable.
The trigger itself is weird to. Well, not the trigger, the thumb lever. In Order to get my thumb on it when I played it when she first got it, I had to twist all the way around, and bend my thumb so far back it was actually painful.
Just remember in the future, always always always play a horn before you buy it, research them, ask around. You don`t want to get a lemon.

well, I `ve been trying it out for the past few days. Only 200! Its great, and I really like it, actually. I think it was a good buy, and the slide works good (But you have to spray it with water everytime you play, no biggie) but besides that, I think it`s a good trigger trombone for the price (And the fact that If I got one for college or something, i`d get a bach)
