I don`t like it when people call people who play the trombone tromboners for some reason. Trumpets are most likly harder to play in some aspects, but yet again, trombones are much harder. For instance, 1st position to 6th and to 4th while playing notes like 32 notes, that can be hard on trombone. But what ever it is on trumpet, you just have to wiggle your fingers.

just take the original note and go 3 half steps down. (C= B - B flat - A.) I`m pretty sure that`s correct! (if you didn`t catch it C`s relative minor is A)

Hey it really depends on the type of trombone you have. If your a beginner you need to start out on a 16 centimeter bore. I play a 42. With a f attachment. If you don`t heres a hint. IF you ever need positions for really high notes. Like 2 or three octave. Search google. it shows many different scale sheets and postitions. scales are essential to the mastery of the trombone. Learn your ambochur and then start going up and down your scales while working on rythms.

only problem with google and scales is that it comes up with scales you buy, at www.trombone.org you can type in to search scales and it will come up with a lot of them. i just printed off one with two octave scale(example:starting on Bb on the scale and going to the high Bb, 4 leger lines up) you can get the one octave scale. Later on, if you continue to play, you chould try to hit the higher stuff, but save that until your really good with the lower stuff

for fingering charts, you can go to google and type in free conn fingering charts and it will dome up with a bunch of stuff, click on the first choose then if you have a F attachment on your horn click on the one with the trombone with F attachment or you can choose the one without

hey boners.... excuse the joke.. My best sugestion to anyone who plays trombone here is GET LESSONS... you can never and i mean NEVEr become a wonderful player without private instruction.. If you cannot afford lessons there are hundreds of scholarships avilable that are easy to get.. simply talk to your band teacher about it. any questions just email me at petergie02@yahoo.com
