? A marching baritone is a 3 valved instrument that looks like a fat trumpet, and a trombone is an instrument with a slide with 7 positions(not including # and b positions) that is fun to nudge people in the butt or in the back with.

The marching baritone is a larger bore and bell. The marching trombone is the same three valve design, but with a smaller bell and bore, providing an instrument that is easier to play, but is brighter. Finally, there is also a marching euphonium that sits on the shoulder, much like a contra bass bugle. These instruments, while having some similarities, are quite different from standard concert instruments, which is what probably caused confusion.

Yup. At the school I teach at, we have marching baritones and marching trombones. The marching trombones are smaller, with smaller bore and bell, and have a brighter, thinner tone. As for marching euphs, they have on-the-shoulder euphs and bell front euphs, like in drum corps.
