I am a junior in high school and just started playing trombone. I will major in music in college and want to know if it was too late to switch to trombone or if I should stay where I am at??? Thanks!!!

I learned bone at 13(basics) fhorn at 15 tuba at 17 now at 26 im working on sax so when is it to late to learn an instrument? when your dead.

Yes, its never too late. I played tbone through jr & sr high school and a small amount of college. sold my horn and didn`t touch one for 12 years. Took it up again and played in a couple of big bands through the seventies. Sold that horn and didn`t touch one for 20 years. In 1998 I bought a good horn and have played at church and in a couple of college jazz bands.
Devote and hour a day to practice and you can do anything you want.

I play every low brass instrument. I started playing trombone when I was is 7th grade and the I started playing baritone in 9th grade and then tuba in 10th grade. I don`t think its ever to late to switch intruments. Just pratice and you will get good at trombone.
