WHEN I USE MY TRIGGER, AN UNUSUAL VIBRATING SOUND EMITS FROM MY TROMBONE. I CANT FIGURE OUT WAT THE PROBLEM IS. IF SOMEONE HAS ANY IDEA, IT WOULD BE VERY VERY HELPFUL.
THANX SOOOO MUCH

And where is the vibrating sound coming from? The trigger itself, or somewhere else?

Without knowing those ansers(from previous posts) try poring some thick luube down to your valve(you`ll need to remove your tuning slide.) I bet that will solve the vibration, but take your horn to a tech so they can fix the actual problem not just treat the symptom. It also is possible that, when your in perfect tune with the tone of the bell(flick the bell then match the tone on a piano to find out what note it is) it can vibrate a little. Every time i play an A my bell rings/buzzes just a little.

AH dont put "thick" lube down your valve! Gah...
take it to a tech if its a CONSTANT rattle and not just a resonance rattle like notshort said.

Yeah, thick lube is very bad for valves. Try the right lube, and if t still buzzes, or the buzz comes from somewhere else, get it looked at by a pro.

Ok i meen thick like the thick half of the slid-o-mix. not thick like motoroil. Lol. Some people will put really thin(valve oil) on to a rotor and thats not good. The thin stuff should be aplied to just the axle area. The thick(like I mentoned above)goes down the tuning slide. Peanutbutter (the really thick and chunky stuff) works good too.

Actually, no, you don`t want to use the thick side of Slide-O-Mix either. That`s not what it`s made for. They make lube specifically for valves, use that. If that doesn`t work, get it looked at.

ya take the valve apart clean it then properly lube it and tighten everything to a good tension. If you still have vibrations take it to your tech it could be soldering that came loose and created a vibration

One time I got a safety pin in my trombone slide... I`m still not quite sure how that happened, either. But chances are you don`t have a safety pin in your slide, so this probably wont help much.

Yeah wierd things fall into horns. When I was in junior high, some trumpet player that couldn`t play found a single die stuffed into his bell. He had no idea how it got there, and couldn`t get it out. There very well could be something somewhere in there that shouldn`t be.....
