hehe. i love my conn to death (88hto) but I would never use it to play jazz with. It just doesn`t sound good for me. I would rather use my king 606 trombone from 1973, an excellent sounding beginner trombone in jazz. It doesn`t hold up extremely well at very high volumes, but that`s what large bore symphonics are for. It is a great trombone. BUy one off ebay if you get the chance. GOt mine for like 60 bucks. Anyways, I have never played the sgx conn, but I have played one with the cl2000 valve, and it plays like a dream. Makes my conn with the standard valve feel like nothing special. I am getting a job soon, and the first things I buy will be a cheapo car, a new sgx cl2000 conn, and a new guitar. I will not be having much money for a while, but o well.
