I found an absolutely beautful Bach 36B silver plated trombone. Its a .525 bore, 8" bell, F attachment, for just under 1300. I was wondering for those who have played this model or even played a silver plated trombone, what your thoughts and feelings are. Thanks

i like Bach 36s but i dont like them in EVERY situation.

When it comes down to it too, each horn in my opinion is a case by case thing. Although i love my king 2b i dont like my friends 2b. So... you have to try stuff before you buy them

Never played a Bach with silver plating, or a 36 for that matter. But I have heard, and know people, that use a 36 in an orchestral setting when a 42, Edwards, or other full size is just too big, and an alto would be silly. Great horn, test it out at length if you can to see if it is one of those "good Bachs". The price seems a bit high though....

I dont like the strad because when i play i often smack my fingers on the bell and well that kinda hurts. i think they sound good and that for ocasional playing it would be alright.
