I played a bit of trombone as a kid, and wanted to start it up again. Does anyone know anywhere I can find some free pieces to try out?
Thanks
Ian

i think the music here aren`t that great because they were sumited by other people, but i play an instrument real simular to the trombone. i like to play jazz pieces. "Splanky" is a really nice jazz big band piece. splanky has parts for trombones, sax, drums, trumpet ect. i do have a piece for trombone i saved from my school jazz band.send my an email so i can send it to you. tranvi007@hotmail.com

i know that a lot of people are strapped for money, but i think its worth going out and buying yourself some books such as the Arbans(alessi/bowman edition is great) rochut etudes etc. etc. etc. arbans being the undisputed book on brass playing especially now with Joe Alessi and Bowman`s comments on how to approach playing they exercises. and my favorite the Rochut to learn how to play lyrical on the trombone and its fun.

I am just starting trombone in the marching band. I am 2nd trombone. I am having trouble with getting the positions right. And i cant find any music because my band director is to hard up for money she cant afford any. If any body could email me some tips on the positions or some music i would greatly appreciate it.
