The top ten reasons why the trombone is the best instrument:

10. You can disguise it as plumbing.
9. Lepers can play them.
8. Deaf people can hear them.
7. They sound better than woodwind and horns.
6. They can decapitate woodwind and horns.
5. You can make a trombone out of anything.
4. You can make a trombone into anything.
3. You can use trombone cream for anything.
2. The reeds are cheap.

The number one reason:

1. Their existance irritates trumpeters.

Well, I use trombone reeds with my trumpet sometimes, I find it easiers to go lower and jazzier tone. But yeah, regular trombones do annoy me sometimes, though the third trumpets more so.

They are more closely related to tuba reeds than they are to clarinet reeds.

You are all insane. It`s fairly hard to find an instrument as cool as a trombone, but that`s only because there are so few french horn players.
