I have a problem. I have played the tenor trombone for many years and have recently purchased a soprano trombone. However i have developed a problem. I play using the regular trumpet embouchure on a Bach 1C. When I go into the high register i tend to move the mouthpiece down and play that way. Is this normal? When I`m done the inside of my lips are tender and sore.

well soprano is more of a trumpet double.... so i dont even know anyone that doubles on the thing.
find a trumpet player and play with them.
