Hi,

I am a bit embarrassed about this, but I have never had to replace a broken string on my own. Well, the time has come

I have the string but I am a bit shaky doing it by myself for the first time.

Info on the string: plain, orchestra, 4/4, loop on the end.

Thanks!

it`s not at all difficult, you will manage perfectly well.

Sorry, I left out the actual reason for my post- duh. How do I put a new string on? I know it seems fairly obvious, but I have a knack for screwing up the obvious.

thanks

it IS obvious. Put one end in the adjuster or the tailpiece and the other end through the hole in the tuning peg. If you have room to wind the string between the hole in the peg and the pegbox wall, then do that, it looks neater and interferes less with other strings.

I broke my G-string once. All I did is take it to my local music store and they fixed it.
