I recently started to learn the violin. But it cannot stop squeaking! Is this my problem? Anyone has any tips to prevent this? Does practicing a lot help?
Thanks.

Actually, I think it`s probably the problem of anyone else within earshot too. };->

...it sure should.
Don`t worry, pretty much everyone squeaks when they first start. Just give it time (and practice.)
Much love,

I don`t know if this is the problem, but if you play too close to the bridge, then the violin kinda squeaks. I don`t know if that is even close to the problem, but it`s all that I can think of...

Yes, if you play too close to the bridge then it will squeak. Bow right inbetween the bridge and the fingerboard. Make sure your bow has just enough rosin, not so much that it`s scraping off of your instrument though. Enough so you can actually play without getting a squeaking or no noise at all.
