I bought this violin on an auction about 7 years ago.
I bought it because I just fell in love with the sound, but appart from that I don`t know anything about it. There is no label inside it and there are no signs that there ever has been a lable. I`m sure it is a handmade violin.

I wonder if anyone could tell me anything about it... maybe how old it might be or if it is made by a professional violin bulder or not (I think it was made by an amature)...

notes:
-The furnish is a yellowish brown but there are some red spots on it, as if it might have been red but re-furnished or bleached or whatever....

-On the neck the furnish is completely gone...

-As you can see the builder made some faults at the edges, at some place the tho small darkerbrown lines are closer to eachother than on ather places

-At the back of the violin are 3 small nails, which I which is quite unusual... does this say anything about its age?

- the violin is quite narrow, I think, by the "f"`s it`s about 1,5cm narrower than a normal violin.

Hope you can help me

(btw. sorry about my bad english )

The type of piture you also want to show is of the side (how thick the violin is). Not to mention measurements of the violin. That`s very important. Anyway, I have a violin and a cello with no labels in them and both of them are about 150 years old or older.

I mean don`t have the violin tilted at a strange angle when you take pictures of it, have the violin straight up and down or side to side. to see how it really looks.
