I am a viola player who just ot a violin and I have a few questions.\
A) Does the violin stay in Treble clef all the time. If so, how many ledger lines below the staff is open G?

All violin music will be written in treble clef, since the lowest note it can hit, open G, is only the fifth note down. It goes D, C, B, A, G, where C is middle C.
