OK here`s a question that I`m sure everyone in the whole world knows the answer to but me !
I recently bought an electric for evening practise (My daughter goes to bed about half way through and I`m told to shut up !)
Now I was having real problems hitting strings either side of the one I was playing on, especially when I was using my pinky, on checking it against my old acoustic I noticed the strings were a lot closer together on the bridge on the electric than on the acoustic, So that was changed retuned and low and behold I can bow away merrily again without the embarassing squeaks.
So here`s the question how far apart should the strings be across the bridge ?
I`ve set them quite far apart using the whole of the bridge (Or within a few mm of the ends) is there a set up for this ?
