Hi. I am a classical violinist and am wanting to buy an electric violin but can`t find any independant reviews of the main makes I have found. Can anyone give their opinions on hte following:
Stagg
Jordans
Yamaha Silent
Sojing
Artisan
If there is anyone who can recommend a different (better?) make one under the £200/$300 range that would also be appreciated!
Thanks,
Amy

My son has a very nice electric violin, but it wasn`t inexpensive. He got it from a place in NC. The Music Emporium was the name of the store. I know they have an online site. This particular store had lots of electric violins in stock, so my son was able to go there and try a number of them out. One guy came all the way from Chicago just to be able to play a number of electric violins. He bought one and went back to Chicago at the end of the day.
If you email me at naxosmom@yahoo.com I can put you in touch with my son. The one thing that he did change was the effects pedal. The one the Music Emporium sold him wasn`t sophisticated enough for the band he plays in. I want to say he bought a Jordan violin, but I could be wrong.
