I used to play violin, but switched to bass, and now am going to play violin again. i have a violin that is probably 20 years old, and is beat up to say the least, it has good sound, but is not playable currently, It is missing a bridge, needs the sound post reset, needs the nut and fingerboard reglued, new pegs, and new strings. I`m wondering if anyone knows about how much this should cost to get fixed. i got one quote saying it would be about 65$, which sounds like they might cut corrners fixing it, and another saying it would be about 1000$, which sounds like i`d be getting ripped off. does anyone know about how much these repairs should cost?? for mid quality parts, i don`t need anything fancy
