Has anyone heard of an 18th century violin maker named Kelmer? I have a violin label that reads "Jaanes Georgius Kelmer mer fecit Pragae 1738." The violin looks like it`s at least 150 years old and has a somewhat unusual shape, but I`m not sure if was really made in 1738. I`ve searched the internet but have found almost no information on this maker. I`d appreciate any info anyone can offer.
