I am new to this site and I'm not so sure how it works but I need help finding a solo piece for the violin for my spring concert...does anyone have any idea what I could play and where to find it? I would like it to be free...I'm on a small budget for this whole concert!

How long have you been playing, and what sort of music do you like to play [fast paced, slow paced, classical, etc.]?

I've been playing for 4 years and I play everything! I'm in a class at my school and we play all kinds of music like classical and fiddling and everything so it really doesn't matter what kind of music it is!

Well, are there any perticular songs that you really enjoy playing?

While I'm waiting for the response I'll go ahead and search for something that would be impressive to play. I assume you're a fairly advanced student considering you've been playing four years. so I'll look for a fairly advanecd piece. When is the concert?

The concert it May 10, just enough time to learn the piece and I have no idea what I would like to play

This maybe, if you like classical. http://8notes.com/scores/2794.asp?ftype=gif

If not, try searching www.music-scores.com for something.

Btw, for the first piece, it sounds better if you slur throughout most of the song. Just a tip. :p

No problem. Anything to help a fellow violinist.
