I am an experienced musician (guitar, piano) who wants to pick up the violin after having set it aside 15 years ago. Because I know I'll stick with it, I want to go ahead and purchase a quality instrument that will last me well beyond the breaking-in stage. After excessive internet research, I've narrowed things down to the Gliga Gems 1, Stringworks Artist, and the Scott Cao STV-500. Anyone who could simplify the decision for me would be greatly appreciated. I'm also wondering whether to let these respective companies "outfit" my violin or to select case, bow, etc. on my own... Thanks!

Hi, Havent heard of 2 of them, but i have heard of the gliga and they are ment to be good. The gliga should last you up to 4th grade ameb exams.
Hope that helps.....
