I have a younger sister who just turned 10. She's soon to start playing the violin and I thought it would be nice if I could give her her first violin before I left home. Im wondering if you could give me some advice as to what violins are good for first time students. Im thinking of a price range in between $100-$200.

Thanks in advance everybody.

I have played violin for four years now, I started when I was 8. My parents had me rent from the organization I was learning at. When I was 10 they got me a 300 dollar full size, that was a bit big for me but not unmanagable. I'm not sure what it was- my advice would be to take her to a music srore and try out a few until you find one that fits criteria, if possible.
