Has anyone ever played the violin in the bathroom... Wowwww.... I must say it produces a truly magnificent sound, even when using those standard `cheap ass` metal strings.
Reciting Vivaldi`s Four Seasons over the bog has never been quite so satisfying... Give it a try, I`m sure you`ll be surprised at the true rich tones as they bounce off the wall tiles in an amazing concerto of sound and style... Give it a go!!?
P.S I am not a lunatic!!?

Not the bathroom, but I do play in a fire escape stairwell.
The lack of carpets and other muffling items like furniture & people gives a lot of reverb.
Of course it also reverbs all the squeeks and scapes too...

I`ve done it plenty. Parking garages like the ones at malls and airports are great too.

lol, i once remember our strings teacher in high school telling us to practice in the bathroom because it sounds better- and it really does, mainly because the bathroom has hard floors and walls that dont muffle and absorb the sound. so u sound clearer and louder. lol have fun. pachelbel`s canon is also another bathroom winner:-p

So where IS the WORST place to play violin, do you think?
Anyone want to suggest a place, hm?

That really depends on what type of house you have,(trailer, regular house with open ceiling, log cabin...depends). But anyways the worst places to play my cello&violin is the bedrooms, living room and dining room. The best places to play it is the kitchen and basement I think. Never tried the bathroom and it`s too small of a space for my cello to be played. But the funny thing is that no matter where I played my Cello at home, it sounded 1000 times better in the band room, probably because of the much bigger room.
