is it possible to put a guitar pickup inside the body of an acoustic violin to amplify it?

First, what kind of pickup are you talking about?

You can only buy acoustic violins with built in pickups... Otherwise you`ll have to take the violin apart which is far too RISKY and could damage the sound permanently...???

Look online for fishman pickups and Barcus-Berry and L.R. Baggs pickups that`s why I`m here too. To see if anyone has used any of these pickups. the fishman is a spring that slides into the bridge and the Barcus-Berry and the baggs are in bridge pickups. I`ve found that L.R. baggs looks to be a good choice but you must have the bridge fitted to your instrument.
