Hi,

Im having a problem regarding the timing of bowing.. Cause everytime I try to follow a music piece I feel like Im out of rhythm.. Btw, Im just only a beginner.. I've just started my lesson last week.. and It's embarassing to think that Im the oldest in that class, cause my classmates are kids ranging from 6-9 years old.. and Im already 23 years old.. But somehow it gives me a good feeling(It makes feel younger. hehe..) And another one, I have a problem this last few weeks about my plan of changing my profession.. Because as of now Im working as a software developer, and I really love this work... But the problem is I have a greater love to music.. specifically violin.. Then the problem arise(time conflict).. And this coming sem. Im thinking of enrolling in a music school as a violin major.. But I know I'll have to start all over again.. So what do you think?

Thanks!

Hi,
For the timing, you might try a metronome... sometimes, though, it is hard to keep up with the beats if you are unfamiliar with the music. It just takes some practice to get it right. Also, you can try tappping out the rhythm before you play, a couple of times; and once you have it down, playing it through slowly.
As for profession, I think you could go with whatever you really want to do. Hope this helped!

It's never too late to start an instrument.

Music does not put an age on itself. Everyone of all ages are able to love music.

Go for it!
