Hi,
You can get a good Violin starting at $200, but go to a specialized Violin Shop. The folks there will make sure everything is in Top Working Order. Things they check for- Sound Post, Bridge, Pegs, Fines Tuners, Nut, Fingerboard & the finer points. If the Violin you want has Plain Steel Strings, ask for Perlon or Helicore Strings for a warmer sound. Too many times, I see students go to a regular Music Store or EBay, then they give-up because it doesn't sound good because it wasn't set-up properly. A few lessons would help if you don't know how to play. Have fun in your search
.Hope this helps.
