Ebony is a type of wood that is commenly used for the pegs, fingerboard, and tailpiece. Its a very hard wood, so it can last the constant pushing of the fingers on the fingerboard

Eboni isn`t the same as ebonized. Ebonized is a type of treatment for wood to make it look like ebony.
