But first, i need to buy a violin, and i'm thinking of spending max 100 pounds to see if its for me.
I'm a keen musician who plays piano and guitar to a high level, and now i want to try out the violin.
I don't know where to start when looking for a violin, because i dont know anything about brands etc... I was thinking also getting an electric one since i play electric guitar, so i came across this one:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=180354413697
Now i know some of you may think this is revolting, but is there anyway to tell if this will be good? To be honest i only need it to last a few months to see if I connect with the style of the instrument

Nice work with guitar and piano, 1 question. Do you want a acoustic or an electrical, and either way check out my site, It has a amazon store there and most of violins would probably cost less than a 100 thats perfect for a beginner.
Go to the amazon store section, If youre looking for a 3/4 size im selling my own one on my site.

If you've never played violin before i recommend that you dont start with an electric violin it is better to start with a beginners classical violin. Your local music shop should be able to assist you with finding a good instrument.
