There is more that *Eight position on the Violin.
I will like to ask you some questions.
1. are you a learner on the Violin? If you are then the question you ask, if you keep working on that, you might not be able to play violin very well, you have to start from the simple to complex, not taking it from the complex to the simple.

2. Have you gone through, violin tutors?
Please if you really want to be a good and sound violin player, leave the highest note for now, and work on your Tone, fingering, bowing , and techniques on violin playing.

Its not for me to play, its for my friend who has to play it in orchastra at christmas, but he dosen't know it.
