Hello guys!
I decided I want to learn the violin. I won't have lessons, I will try to learn it by myself, so if anyone knows some good, online, and free site/youtube channel/ebook for learning the violin [except 8notes, ofcourse ], it would be really nice to share.
Soooo... First off, I would like to ask if the chinese violins that cost around 100 euros really suck. Do they really have a different sound of those that cost around 250-500 euros? [cause I'm not even thinking about buying a 1000-euro violin! I'm still a beginner!]
So is there a difference in the sound, or the violin may brake down very easily? Or will I have problems with it's tuning?
Also, I would like to ask about the term "student" violin. I've seen sites that sell violins, and some of them are referred to as student violins, but some of them are not [and they are at the same category price, about 100-500 euros!]. So, what is the difference?
One more thing. I have an electronic tuner for my guitar. Do I have to buy a new one that is especially for violin, or the one I already have can be used for tuning the violin?
Thanks in advance, I'm really looking forward to your replies!

Hi Necronio,
I am a young violin teacher and I created a website: http://violinfromscratch.com.
You will find the absolute fundamentals about how to hold your bow and how to position your fingers. I made some clear detailed pictures zo you learn it the right way.
Regards,
Deborah
