Hi,

I've been looking at Eastman cellos and love them. I'm looking for a affordable violin and saw a VL80 for an affordable price. I haven't been able to try it out since it's an online purchase. I already have a horrible sounding Ashton violin and would like to upgrade into something playable. Does anyone know the tonal quality of the instrument? Is it more on the brighter end or the darker warmer end. I'm looking for something darker and warmer than brighter.

They're very nice for the price. I've played a couple of the 80s and one of the model 100s. I haven't found a nicer sounding and better constructed violin in this price range. I found one for a good price at:
